Dad’s B-Day Is Always A Problem

Every year my father’s birthday rolls around and I’m presented with the same old problem, but before I get into that I should tell you a little about my dad. My dad’s not rich, but when he wants something he gets it. He’s working in the garage and needs a wrench so he goes out and buys a wrench. This sounds like it’s a good thing, but it always makes it hard to think of good gifts for men for him. I put a lot of thought and considerations into what I could buy him to celebrate the birth of a man I love very much. I work really hard every year so again this year I’ll put in some major effort.

Now I guess I need to tall you something else about my dad, he doesn’t exactly “take care” of himself like he should. He has a horrible diet full of junk that only a 3 year old would want, he drinks more beer than a football team, and he’s rather spend a day in front of the TV then doing much else. I really actually concerns me since he’s quite overweight, so one always worries about him sticking around long enough to see me married or other important events in my life. Anyway all that got me thinking that I could get some inspiration by asking my friend, who is a personal trainer, for some true weight loss tips. I was so glad I did because he had some great suggestions, especially for someone who isn’t in the best shape to begin with. I want to help my dad get in shape so he can be around forever.

He started out by telling me the standard stuff one would expect like getting a good diet and exercise. I wondered if supplements could be of any assistance, but I guess that’s not a good idea. He told me they are really for people who are already in good shape. My grandmother has all the ingredients to make those stupid things laying around the kitchen. What I was really interested in was his suggested was that I look into some fitness exercise equipment. After I checked it out a little bit I settled on the fact that it would probably be the perfect gift for my father. It might not be a present he wants, but it’s definitely something he needs. I just really hope my dear dear father has a great birthday.
